“Designing for Women Now was a journey of profound responsibility. The organization operates in the heart of the Syrian tragedy, providing a lifeline for women amidst the chaos of war.
My approach wasn’t to discard their history, but to honor it. Their original logo, though born out of urgency, already carried the soul of their mission. Working closely with the founders, we agreed on a careful evolution rather than a radical change. I felt it was vital to maintain a sense of familiarity for the women they serve in conflict zones to offer them something recognizable, yet renewed.
I refined the visual language into a calm, steady, and dynamic form. I took the organic spirit of the original leaf with its roots and veins and reimagined it with a palette of serene blues. In the middle of a violent storm, these colors and lines are designed to offer a moment of stillness, clarity, and hope.”
